That zenith tube has one of those halo-like cataracts that probably can't be removed.

Nice cabinet design..I like how the speaker is isolated from the rest of the set. I bet it sounds nice!

Why not? I have a Zenith tube that has the same thing going on, but it's not bad enough to do surgery on. Only a little around the very edge. Last tube I did was a real pain though, I didn't have shop lights or a heat gun or anything. I ended up breaking the glass away bit by bit with a flathead screwdriver. That was a tense time, but it worked.

i hear ya!i did one with a hammer and chisel once.tense to say the least.it came out well.that cataract isnt too bad.not noticable when the set is playing.i have a ctc10 also.speaker on the reverse side.really nice shape with an outstanding rca crt.
