Oh well.... I don't think that will work in either of my sets. My CTC-7 (AE) uses the same as the CTC-9 but it looks pretty different than the one on the CTC-10 schematic. So far, both mine are working (at least seem to be) but showing signs of over-heating. I'm going to check things on my new 7 closely before running it much to be sure current is okay so I don't ruin the one I still have. I know the shunt is not working right on my 9 so have to deal with that before I do much with it. It is fun when I get to learn so I can repair so I can learn so I can repair so I can....... (actually, it is fun)

AND thank you very much for taking the time to check supply for me!!!

I want to say what I believe in that if there is a place where someone will find something for you that you are worried that you won't or can't find; it is here. This is an outstanding site with an even more outstanding group of people involved. Sometimes it takes a while as some people check in more than others.

On the flip, you are seeking probably one of the most sought after parts in the "roundie" rage world. RCA did a lot of revolutionary engineering in the early days of color television and made some really nice sets. However (as most of us know) their flybacks were never known for reliability. Not back when newer up to recent popularity. That's why suppliers like Moyer and private owners are running low, out, or hanging on to what they have.

I'm like Dieseljeep. I wish I could turn back time and walk into my dad's basement and be able to grab one of always a number of a variety of round color CRTs and other parts. I never really saved flybacks for whatever reason, but they would be on stacks of chassis that periodically got hauled to the dump on my dads orders of not turning the house into a junk pile.

A little older now and still messing with old electronics, I see what he meant at times. That's why I periodically have run "must part out" ads in the classifieds section to little success.

IIRC RCA flys from CTC-7 thru CTC-16 are all electrically compatible, but not directly mechanically compatible....Essentially you can make them work, but you have to get creative in mounting it all.

pretty sure at least the 7 and maybe the 9 have more secondary windings that the Single take off used on the 12-16.

Maybe could adapt but it would not be direct wire for wire replacement even after mechanical fitment worked out.

Um...no. The 15/16's are, and some others, but such a broad range is not possible - burst and agc pulse windings are different, as are some of the inductances of the HV winding.
