CTC-16 remote control
Saw this on ePay recently
Remote Control The seller claims it works with several different RCA chassis. Is this correct? I have a CTC 16 in storage right now and am not sure if it's a remote, but would consider buying this on the off chance that it is. Comments? Anthony PS I've heard of the weird mercury batteries that these use, are these still available? Last edited by heathkit tv; 03-18-2004 at 01:44 PM. |

Mercury batteries were taken off the shelves a few years back. From what i remember, this rca remote uses a round 9 volt battery.

This looks identical to the one with my CTC31, for what thats worth. The battery was very old; I had replaced it with a new AA-some of the functions work but there is some corrosion in there so I don't know if thats the problem or not enough juice.

thats a crk9a remote unit. The earlier versions used the eveready 206, which is a round 9volt (still available at radio shack). The newer version (still the same exact remote case) uses a 1.5V AA. Since the newer version uses a AA, but still was housed in the orignal case, the AA fits into a factory cardboard tube to make the AA fit like the old round 9v.
