Zenith H725

I have a question for you and I hope you can help. I am recapping a Zenith H725 and have found a discrepancy between the Rider parts list for the 7G01Z chassis and what's underneath my radio. It looks original under there but I have too many paper caps (15) and way too many
.02 caps (six). The Rider calls for only 12 paper caps and only two .02's. I checked the previous year model (G725) and the parts list calls for 15 caps but the values still don't match up.
Schematics are hard enough to decipher without adding mystery capacitors. Got any ideas?

Through the years some of the caps may have been replaced with caps with similar but larger values of capacity and working voltage. This is OK. Find a correct schematic and follow it like a map. If the other circuit components such as resistors and tubes follow the schematic, generally the capacitors will be pretty much the same, but even the manufacturer will sub out an out of stock cap with a more expensive, larger value part to keep the production moving.

Did the radio work before you started the job?
