I have been to Graceland and can confirm this set is identical...

There sure is! a nice looking one too. I didn't know what the chassis was.
I also wonder if it was moved in as a prop? seems a bit old for a millionaire rock star to be using, even in 1977. |

I believe it was the "Whitby" model #21-cd-7897 with the Deluxe chassis. The cabinet was blonde tropical hardwood. You raise a good point about having a 20 year old set in such a prominent place in the mansion. It may have been in storage and then placed in the living room to represent that period in the King's life. A blonde "Whitby" is in Steve McVoy's collection and can be viewed on his ETF site.
