I need a little help with my Predicta....
Had the picture tube rebuilt by Hawk-Eye about 2 years ago, and that's looking good, but there's far too much contrast, and the sound is barely there. Needs an alignment too, as well as some work on the vertical sync section, since it has a hard time locking up, when it does.
Here's what I'm after.....would anyone be willing to restore this thing for me if I pack it well and pay for shipping? I'd gladly pay your price to get it working again, and I have the manuals, but just not enough technical knowledge to get her going again. It's the UG-4242M, 21" "Holiday" tabletop set. If you're willing, I have a GE 810 that needs going through too.

Tim,
Try to find an AGC control on the chassis and crank it down. Sounds like too much gain. That could also affect the sync. I'm not sure about the sound. If this doesn't help why not put it in the car and come visit me for a weekend. Plan an overnight. We can put it on my bench and go through it properly. We can also talk speakers and you can hear my new creations. You know how risky packing and shipping a rare TV is! Rob |

Yes, but you told me that you can't do an alignment on it, which is one of the things it needs most
Besides which, if I can crate a CTC4 console and ship it to LA from Buffalo, I can ship a Predicta
