Question What To Use Since Channel Master SHIELD is NLA..

I just used up the last of the last can I had of the old Channel Master contact cleaner called SHIELD that contained silicone. It is the best Ive used to clean noisy pots, switches, etc. Can you guys recommend anything that is as good or better than Shield was?

The last squirt went into the volume control on my CTC-10C! Smooth and quiet again. Thats why Im asking here in this forum. Any ideas?

Bruce

I use CRC switch cleaner (product code 2001), which is a contact cleaner with lubricant. Avoid CRC "lectraclean". It comes in a similar looking can, but does not have lubricant in it and can make things worse.

I agree

In all the time I was in consumer electronics, I never found anything that had the long-lasting effects that shield did.
