New Guy---Info please
Hi,
I joined the forum to get more information on a television that was left in the basement of a house I just bought. It's an RCA Victor Tabletop Model # 17T200. Any and all information provided would be appreciated, thanks |

Welcome to the forum!
I think that this is one... If so, it is a fairly common 1953 17" 23 tube rectangular set that is well made, very nice looking and would likely make for a good project. The bad news is that there is not much interest among collectors in the common mid-50s 17" and 21" sets. IMHO, these sets really deserve to be saved/restored, but sadly, many find "no takers" in the collecting community. Condition matters... matching stand= bonus points! jr PS: Photofact # is set 184 folder 12 Last edited by jr_tech; 08-10-2010 at 10:49 PM. Reason: add Photofact info |

Wow that's some great info, thanks!! It was on an iron lattice work stand that seem to be built for it, and the thumbnail picture you sent, was it. At some point I'll post a picture of the T.V. on the stand. I'm going to have my uncle look at it.....he's an old time t.v. repairman from the 50's-80's.......when there was such a profession!!!!Thanks again. |
