Extra value is what you'll get...
When you buy a Sylvania Dualette! (Thank you Rosemary Clooney)

Something tells me I'd be strangely inclined to want to play nothing but "The Jetsons" episodes on it .......

Nice set. Hey, it's got a handle on top, must be portable. Don't mind those legs. Or that 60 pounds...

Looks like it was a portable with an optional base/speaker...hence the "Dualette" moniker.

I think that set is extremely cool on that rare matching stand. An iconic piece of kitchy "space-age" styling. I actually had one, sans the stand, for one day and sold it. The cosmetics were nice, but the chassis was roached. I must say, it's about as cool in person as a Philco Predicta.
I believe the set in the photo is from the Early Television Museum. |

Yes, no wonder the photo looks familiar:

I got a Salmon one sans stand and an antenna rod...They are actually fairly light being a series string set with most of the electronics on a single fairly servicable PCB, and minimal chassis metal...They are cool sets inside and out. IIRC the CRT neck is recessed behind the chassis structure making it nearly impossible to neck. I doubt the combined weight of the chassis/cabinet beats the weight of the CRT so it is one of the most portable 17" sets I've ever owned... One day I gotta find another color set with the stand...salmon pink ain't exactly my favorite color.
