A new year: Starting a new tradition.

After spending much time and money on vintage radios and computers, I'm going start looking for a "roundie" color TV. It may take awhile but I hope to have time to look.

No shortage of them out there for sure, just have to either have patience or make it a point to attend the ETF meet in Ohio in May

Depends on geography. Some places just never had enough roundys originally to find any today...If your in a bad locality you'll have to branch out your search and import a set.

Hehe. In Birmingham, there are NO roundie (or antique TV'S at all for that matter). I've had to import almost every one of my color TV'S from Atlanta.

Here in northern New England color came late, heck TV was 2-3 channels when I moved here in the mid-70s. So I felt privileged to find a 1966 Philco roundie here at the recycle store. I found one other roundie years ago but the lady refused to part with it. Mostly I see them still cheap deep in the Rust Belt, nowhere else.

I have 5 roundies all from west Tennessee, with the exception of 1 that came from Pine Bluff Arkansas. I parted out one that I found in Jonesboro Arkansas. They are out there still. However picking has got slim lately. Just be patient.

Surprisingly, all of the roundie color sets I own (11) except for my CTC5 have been local (Tucson, Phoenix and surrounding areas).
