Todays yard sale finds

These two transistor radios followed me home today. The first one is a GE from 1961. The second one is a NIB Zenith Royal 80. The box is in excellent condition, even has the original (not corroded by the way) Zenith batteries in the box. The GE was $5 and the Zenith was $10. I may have to start collecting these little guys.

Working condition unknown. I will power up the GE, but the Zenith will remain new in the box. Even the Zenith batteries in the box are not corroded. Unless I just cant resist one time.

If it doesn't work well, replace the electrolytic caps. Be careful soldering on those circuit boards, doesn't take much to lift a trace.

Just a little Quasar, 5" B/W with a AM/FM radio. Decent condition, for a buck. The beast has pretty good sound quality, for such a small set. Uses a wall-wart A/C adaptor.
