Hello from Toronto, Canada

Hello everyone,

I'm an EE who, back in the day, designed electronics for the broadcast/uplink market.....kinda gone to seed (audio's what's paying the bills these days) but still maintaining an interest in video technology.

A little while ago I scored a hoard of parts which apparently came from a TV repair shop (no documentation, alas) and I've been having fun sorting out the jumble. For various definitions of "fun", of course. Most of the ICs have Admiral part numbers, and I've been trying to look up specs on this stuff. Unfortunately, the cross-reference info I've found is pretty fragmentary. If there's any manner of "master x-ref list" I haven't found it. In theory, I could brute-force the problem by compiling data from a few hundred Photofacts, but that seems a path to madness.

Some example parts:

56C44
56C45
56D47
56D49

Thanks in advance for any pointers. And I should add that if anybody needs Admiral ICs, get in touch! I'm sure we can work out an exchange.....
