I've got this 27" Setchell Carlson that I've slowly begun to restore, but I'd let it go if you were interested. Uses a 27RP4 picture tube that was newly replaced in I think 1966, I have the paperwork on it. The speaker pulls out and there's a V-M record changer in there.

She ain't too pretty, but she could/will be

I am looking for a RCA flyback (126730) for my CTC-40. The Thordarson part is "Fly492". NOS or used is fine with me. I would even be willing to take a whole chassis if needed.

Thanks....

I would like to find an RCA CTC 36, or CTC 53, these are the plastic cabinet "portable/table model" 19" screen color set. I will be at the ETF MEET in Hilliard Ohio, May 1,2,3. Thanks, Dave Pike.

Update! I had forgotten about this post! It seems I now have one, poor old CTC-36, and now, three CTC-53's! I would still like to find an Admiral (also under K-Mart brand) plastic-cabinet, color portable set, some of these were sort of Hybrid, as I think I recall, but...memory is going back over 37 years ago!

I'm looking for a set of knobs for my 21" Philco Predicta. Original or reproduction, I'm not fussy.
Oh, and a picture tube too, while I'm wishing for things. This one has been necked.

Would like a vintage color roundie... but *NOT* a 50's set. 60's would be preferable or late 50's if it's easy to work on. The reason being practical. I don't want to have to open it up to fix something very often.

So if a collector in the Detroit area needs to make some room, I can give a roundie a good home.

Looking for a back and a brown pencil box for my CTC-4 model 21CT660, the Haviland.
Also RCA part #109221 CTC-11 fly, or correct sub.
And hoping Santa brings a CTC-19 for Christmas!
Thanks!
Kevin

If you use it often and it ain't a Zenith, expect to need to pull the back ~annually. Only difference between 50's and 60's(with the exception of the CTC-5 which is a crappy circuit), aside from cabinet style was more PC boards (=lower reliability) and some simplification of circuits, and some improvements in some parts.

Oh that's to be expected. Tubes blow, things need adjusting.

I meant something that doesn't have to be worked on after every few hours of use because time has made the components so precarious and fragile that you need a variac to use it. Like I wouldn't want an early CTC set as anything more then a rarely powered up collectors item, but having something a bit newer, with newer components, that still gives an idea of what early color sets were like, that's what I'm looking for.

Pretty much anything except CTC-2, CTC-5, and some (50's and 60's) off brand stuff should fit the bill....As long as you check the resistors with the recap....Or deal with some post sleep infant mortality of resistors for a few months.

I have a few sets I'd like to get rid of, which I think I've seen on a few peoples want lists.
1) Sylvania Roundie --- New Flyback and a rebuilt Sylvania picture tube (black matrix)
2) 1972 or 73 Hitachi 14" Color. Solid State (charles?)
3) 1967 Maggie Console with the sliding doors. Remote control.
If anyone wants details on the sets I have, shoot me a PM. I'm in Omaha. Also hit me up if you have a 19" console.
I have that set.

Any color or b&w set from the eighties that's close enough for me to take or shipped to me is what I'm after. I'm in the DC Metro Area
I'd really like a Samsung, Zenith, or Emerson set from the mid eighties.
