but now I have a sync issue
I can only sync the pix if the contrast contol is all the way up
if i lower the contrast
it bends the sync
any ideas here?
I have a Motorola 9VT1, the 8" set with a TS-18 chassis. The picture will bend and may lose synch if the contrast control is turned down toward minimum. This is a design characteristic of this type of set. If the contrast control has to be all the way up for it to lock, you may had a weak tube in the signal path up to the point where the synch signals are taken off. Also any paper caps and out of tolerance resistors must be replaced if you ever expect it to work right.

Keep at it. These sets are a pleasure to watch when working correctly.
