At this very moment I'm listening to (and recording) a Chess 78 of Johnnie & Joe's My Baby's Gone On, On. The flip side is Over The Mountain.

Sly & the Family Stone's Greatest hits on my Denon DP1200 turntable, Sansui AU-919 amplifier and custom speakers I made when I was in college (about the same time as the Denon and Sansui were made).

I downloaded BNL's new album last week and have been listening to it a bunch (Crawl playing right now). I don't normally listen to much new pop music anymore, but I've followed BNL and Goo Goo Dolls for several years.

The Steve Miller Band album Book of Dreams on minty freshly cleaned(using the wood glue method) vinyl using an OTL tube amp I built myself(it is not quite complete as I need to mount the power transformer and do some reconfiguring of the PS circuit).

That album is one of my favorite progressive rock albums...I first bought it on 8-track, and liked it so much that I could not pass on the minty LP, I presently have, for a buck.

Ministry-With Sympathy '83 LP sounding great on an old belt-drive Yamaha table and class-AB1 6L6 integrated powering full-range single-driver speakers.

REAL country music on WSM 650 Nashville, mostly clear on my 6-tube Zenith J-615, basement reception no less.
Just played a 1934 recording of Junior Walker?, who played live at the station then.
Perfect for night-time music to accompany work restoring old radio cabinets

I get WSM from Nasville late at night as well. Typically, I listen to it on a 1930's Mantola.

WSM comes in here at night too, helped by my outdoor long wire, feeding a '37 Emerson or a '41 RCA.

I dragged out a big box of my old Christmas records over the weekend, and I've been sitting here listening to some of them on my newly restored Magnavox Astro-Sonic console stereo. I've got several records stacked up on the changer, including Andy Williams, Virgil Fox, a Zenith promotional album of "Christmas Favorites" from 1963, and a couple of promotional albums from the local Goodyear Tire store from the late 1960's.

It's a little early for holiday music, but it's been 20 years or more since I've been into this box of albums from my childhood and it's kind of nice to re-discover some of the music from when I was a kid.
