another colorado tinkerer!

greetings citizens, my name is jake and i have been working on radios for a couple years now, my first radio that gave me the bug is a zenith r600 and at that time i new nothing about radios of that vintage so i sent that one to a pro to restore the chassis, after some research and receiving a philco 51-1730, i recapped and had my first success, i was hooked!! my second radio, (which is my favorite console i own) is a belmont model 902, another home run, use the radio frequently. then i thought i would try to get this precision es-500a going and it now works really good(uncalibrated, fun to play with tho). so now i have a hoffman 7m140 that i am working on and could use some help with!! thank you very much and am looking forward to another classic electronic device that works better than new!!

Welcome! I'm the proud owner of a rare Philco 37-665B and Zenith 11S474: both in excellent condition. BTW I can receive KOA on both from here in Plattsmouth, NE.

Welcome to VK! A friend of mine, Pat Woodard, is a newsman @KOA. I can pick him up early winter mornings here in MN.
