I did Philips warranty service. I changed the coolant in far too many sets to count.

On top of all that was said about the proceedure here, I always had to scrape glue-like crud off the face of the green and blue tubes, too. Seems like no matter how careful I was, there was still crap floating in the new coolant I had just installed.

Also, it was always a joy to get the convergence reasonably back to a somewhat good happy medium, too.

It was getting more and more frequent when I finally decided that I'd had enough and shut down Philips warranty work.

None of the other PTV's I serviced had the issues with coolant like Philips did.

And by Philips, I also mean Magnavox Sylvania and Philco.

I do miss their CRT sets.
