Subscriptions

I received an email saying my subscription is about to expire. This is true, but it gave me a link to use to pay and when I clicked on that link and logged in it said there were no subcriptions available on Videokarma forums.

This is the link: http://www.videokarma.org/payments.php

Do I have to pay at Audiokarma instead?

John

I'm not 100% sure but yes, I think AK is the one were you have to pay since it is the parent site of VK.

Thanks, I just went there and did that. They need to fix the link in the email reminder.

Oddly enough I wasn't able to even subscribe at AK until I used GoogleChrome. Paypal doesn't seem to be working with my IE at the moment, but it does respond to GoogleChrome.

Videokarma has no subscription and will remain totally free.

Audiokarma has a subscription level which offers many perks but it will also remain free.

When Videokarma was made, it was done from a copy of Audiokarma, those with subscriptions to Audiokarma carried over here. However there is no subscriptions available at this time to VK so these should expire harmlessly.

Hope this explains it. Thanks

Grumpy

Thanks, that explains most of it. I think the reminder link needs fixing though.

I do feel like I need to support AK even though VK is totally free.

What happens to the privileges that carried over from being an AK subscriber when the subscription expires? Or, does everyone on VK have those by default? I find the extra storage space for messages and images useful.

Ah, that explains why I never saw the "Subscriber" logo on my messages here on VK after I subscribed through Audiokarma. I rarely lon on AK since my interests are almost all in video (and the ham radio forum).

Sorry missed the two posts after mine. It still deserves answering.

Really wish there was a way to address the email notices that went out about renewals, but there is none, that I was aware of. The good news is that most everyone should be past that point by now.

Maybe we should set up a subscription on VK and give it a whirl..

You can count me in. It's money well spent for the information and help you can get here.
