if it was mine I would use my 1076 BK analyst to inject starting at the plate of the 3rd IF and look for signal loss going back.

It looks like something beyond my capabilities.. So I guess I'll hand it over to Dave, and let him finish the rest of the restoration..

Before you do that, futz around with the AGC pot, and try a new AGC tube.

That's a good idea.. Is it the 6GH8A V23 behind the AGC control?

V6 keyed agc, not the one by the agc control.

That's the one I suspected in the beginning.. I already tried replacing that one, I even pulled it out and powered on and there was no change... The agc pot I did adjust numerous times.. I notice the sharpness pot when adjusting, puts purple color streaks all over the screen...
