The tire does look flat in that picture. I noticed it when I was watching the airplane dvd the other night. Cleaned and adjusted the vertical size and lin controls and the linearity looks normal for now. I have put a lot of hours on this poor set but she is still going strong.
Watching the dtv on a ct100 has to be so awesome. I was relieved to see how well the dtv worked on rabbit ears. The next thing I have to do is hook the box to the roof antenna in the attic. I should get more channels with it and the uhf will get a stronger signal. Kbmuri. Make sure you replace all the caps in your Zenith. You will be putting a lot of use on your set when you see the dtv on it. Ed |

In Pic #2, is that a Brookfield insulator on the floor? Do you collect? (Sorry to float off topic, just seen it there)

That's incredible!
I have wondered what sort of color set would have been in England. I bet such a TV was in Buckingham Palace and the homes of The Beatles, etc.

Darn, good eye! I really didn't know off hand the make, but you were right. I wouldn't say I collect them, but I do have 15-20. Most were given to me when I was around 12 y.o., by a fellow who had what must have been thousands of them in his garage. Too many other things I'm into to get serious about them as well. Someday I'll take the time to look up what I've got, I'm sure there is some interesting reading out there.

Here are two snapshots of my unrestored CTC-11. I started replacing the electrolytics, but a bunch of distractions got in the way. One of these days . . . :-)

My RCA 21CT55 is configured as a composite video monitor. I see no logic in attempting to get the tuner and IF sections operating and aligned with OTA broadcasting shutting down in Feb. I'm presently doing an optimum chroma setup and PQ evaluation by comparing the RCA screen against a Sony professional monitor. I am convinced this method is the only way to get the full performance potential from this 53 year old roundie and demonstrate the RCA's PQ relative to a near perfect NTSC standard. I've posted some of these screen shots on the PhotoTrail free site. Included are stitched photos of simultaneous screenshots from both RCA and Sony monitor:
