Important message

Today Videokarma's server experienced a hardware failure. The site is back up, but we are currently still assessing and repairing the damage. More then likely a few posts were lost. We apologize for the inconvenience, but it was unforeseen.

Considering that we lost the entire site, 6 posts ain't too bad. Sorry it had to lose any but hardware failures are definitely not the norm.

Still not able to reach AK. I see lots of referrals from AK today to my web server (I host my images there), so I know AK is up for some, but not out here in CA. DNS issues?

Edit: Just put the following entry in my etc/hosts file (looked up AK's IP address on the web), and am now able to log into AK:

207.32.177.8 www.audiokarma.org

Definitely looks like a DNS issue somewhere...

And besides that, somethin's broke too. Reminds me of an old cartoon where a mechanic is on the phone with the customer and says "We've narrowed down the problem to somewhere under the hood..."

Cleared out all the "audiokarma.org" and "www.audiokarma.org" cookies, which logged me out, but still doesn't work without the etc/hosts entries. Are there other relevant cookies?

Interesting.. I'm still logged in at both sites, but, now, AK is telling me I MUST become a subscriber in order to participate....

Just curious, but do you have to create a seperate screen name to participate on the audiokarma site too,or will your videokarma name and password work for both sites?

I was a member of AK before VK. Same screen name, same password.

Only if you were a member of Audiokarma before Videokarma was created. Otherwise you will have to register over there.

Thanks for the info "Grumpy".
That explains why it didn't work over there!
