Hi,

The early TS series Quasars were truly engineering marvels. They had quite a few finicky issues regarding repairs. Also, many TV shops then weren't very ready for repairing these early transistorized sets. The test equipment needed for troubleshooting these sets cost boatloads of cash. The sets got more reliable later in the line by the 1975 Panasonic takeover. I feel like Zenith in the era was more worth the prices these sets sold for new. I still love Motos and vintage Quasars.
