It got interesting while hurricane Irma was coming on shore in FL. Everyone had nonstop coverage and constant scrolls at the bottom of screen and the local news channel I was watching had very few breaks. When they did there were no commercials at all - they just showed the big radar of Irma looping over and over with the long version of the network news theme playing and the familiar announcer guy saying "This is live coverage of Hurricane Irma" "we will be right back." "Follow us online at..." and they kept saying that over and over for a few minutes.

After the power went off I listened to it on the radio but they just played their own commercials while they went to a break instead of the announcer repeating himself.
