While we’re talking old cameras - I’ve read that NBC in Burbank got better results than NBC in NY with their TK-41s. Anyone know why?

Woudn't be surprised if the studios themselves had something to do with it. In NY, the studios at 30 Rock were mainly converted from radio. In Burbank they were built directly for TV, so they were much bigger, and their size probably made lighting easier to position properly on the rafters. Techs at 3000 W Alameda probably had some tricks, too. I think the 44s also looked better in Burbank than they did in New York.
