I know in my 4-eye Cougar, I did the halogen conversion, and I had to incorporate relays to drive them. The new halogens draw more power than the old sealed beams and would trip the headlight breaker. It's a self-resetting breaker, so when I would turn on my high-beams, my headlights would just blink on and off from the breaker tripping then resetting endlessly, lol.

May as well ask here instead of starting a whole new thread...

On the flip-flop, is my 25-amp Thomson-CSF supply good for charging car batteries? If so I may as well unload the charger itself.

On an unrelated note, I want to switch to sponges for cleaning my soldering iron tip. I'd rather deal with a bit of temperature recovery time than premature tip wear. Are soldering sponges anything special, or can I just use a regular cellulose kitchen sponge?
