ETF Loading/Prep thread.

Hi everyone,

I'm just posting this as a reminder to myself/notification to anyone else that potentially needs a set transported to the ETF.

On the way down I'll be taking:
A 630TS w/ stand (Auction)
A Hoffman Colorcaster (Nick)
A 19AP4 (Larry, care of Crist)
A Zenith Mayflower (Someone I don't know, care of Tim)

That should be it. If anyone else needs anything taken to the ETF, I should be able to help within reason.

On the way back, I'll have:
A DuMont Club 20 (for me I guess, unless someone wants to make me an offer on it )
A CTC-9 Boswell
A CTC-4 Director (for my buddy Paul)
A gassy 21AXP22
A 12 inch Sylvania console
A 10 inch Bendix tabletop
A Motorola 21CT2M
A good 7DP4

That should be it headed home. I *may* need help getting some of the smaller stuff back to Detroit if anyone can help. I might not, regardless, I don't think I'll be in a position to take anything back to Detroit for someone else.

I hope to God I'm not forgetting something...

Maybe we can all post in this thread and coordinate rides for sets/parts. Perhaps I should move this to the Pony Express forum...

I just got about 90% of my load done. In the pouring rain. Fortunately the stuff I loaded I got in between the showers. I'll be lucky if the luggage fits

Bringing:

Auction:

Tele-King 210W
Raytheon porthole
Hoffman hotel set
Philco 49-1002
Philco 48-1000
Philco 50T-1403
Westinghouse porthole
Motorola sign
Bush TV
Philco 7"

Sold stuff:

CTC-7 Pensbury (BigAudioAl)
Victrola horn (BigAudioAl)
Boxes of parts for Tim, Dave May, etc
Admiral 7" case (Crist Rigott)
Philco back (Crist Rigott)
CTC-10 (zenithfan1)
Ben's 21AXP22
Ben's Sylvania 12" set
Restored VT-71 (BigDavesTV)
630TS (adam)
10BP4 (Electronic M)
12LP4 & Sams (notimetolooz)

Bringing home (so far):

21FJP22
CTC-15
National 630 clone
Stromberg porthole with table
Bunch of ancient battery sets
Pilot color console TV
CTC-22

I'll have a big parts table...everything's a buck. Flybacks, yokes, controls, all kinds of stuff....mostly labeled. Plus a lot of other goodies in the boxes. Mostly black and white 1940s, but some color parts too....line delays, controls, I can't even remember what else.

Just a quick note to those bringing items to the ETF this weekend, please see myself or Steve Kissinger before placing anything inside the back room at the museum. We need to make sure there is enough room to get down the aisles and for the seating area. In years past we've ended up with piles of stuff that got dumped randomly back there. We also need to make up bid sheets for these items for the silent auction and many times we don't even know who the stuff belongs to when it's just left back there with no one around.

We appreciate everyone working with us to make this a great convention!

Darryl

Oh, and I forgot.....VTRs and about TWENTY file boxes packed with tapes for Electronic M that I picked up recently in a meeting with Dave G, coming out of Lancaster PA. I didn't even have room for all of them so I had to split them up between me and one other guy coming in.

Me thinks Tom owes me one

I'll be getting in Thursday late morning/early afternoon. Steve should be arriving early that evening.

BTW thanks for offering to help out again this year, we really appreciate it.

I don't think there's 20. Maybe 12. Whatever you think....I wouldn't be opposed to it

My internal alarm clock just went off so I'm up yet baggy eyed. Needs me some real coffee.....
