Hickok 660 bar/crosshatch generator BIG BOO BOO here updated

I made a big boo boo! I went back to my museum and the first digit was partially covered by a little dirt and I did not look closely enough.
It is a 660, NOT a "360". Now lets go somewhere with this!!

Can anyone tell me what the tube layout is?

I just picked up a Hickok model 660 bar/crosshatch generator (all tubes) from the 1950's in a neat little black oilcloth carrying case. These are rather scarce to find as they were expensive at the time and I love them just the same. This one should work but the person who had it took all the tubes out of it and all of the sockets are only labeled "V1,V2 etc". If I remember correctly many of them were 12AT7 or 12AU7's and some others. Do any of you out there have any info on the tube charts? (or original manual) He even pulled the 3.58 crystal out of it--said at one time he was going to make something else of it gutting it out. Glad he didn't as it is too neat to disassemble and part out!

Are you sure that's the model? Neither BAMA nor Steven Johnson have ever heard of it.

OK, Big boo boo mistake on my part!! I must be getting old as I thought I remembered the model number. The model number is a 660, NOT a 360. There was a little dirt that disguised the first digit a little and did not look closely enough. Now we may get somewhere now.

I see the manual out there, but no real guide to what tube goes where, other than the hard to read block diagram..

BAMA has the manual. The block diagram on page 14 has the V# to type translation.

I just looked at the manual at BAMA. There is a discrepancy between the schematic and the rest of the manual. The photo of the unit and the tube compliment show 9 tubes. The schematic shows 10 tubes! The extra tube being a 6BJ7, a triple diode used to clamp three separate points in the circuit. Good luck with sorting it out. BTW, the 5963 tube is just a 12AU7 that performs better at switching.
