possible 21-CT-55 - Detroit CL

No pics, here's the text from the ad:

OLD RCA COLOR TV,BELONGED TO GRANDMA, LOCATED IN ROYAL OAK. SHE WAS USING THE SET UP TO
6 MONTHS AGO WHEN MOVED TO SENIOR HOME. DARK WOOD EXCELLENT CONDITION.ONLY MARKING
ON THE BACK IS 21-CT-55. $50.00 0R BEST OFFER

http://detroit.craigslist.org/okl/atq/2565284902.html

Who knows if it's real or not though with no pics? I'd be very surprised if anyone was still using one of these 6 months ago.

I'm going to venture that it's real. Who's to gain by posting it otherwise? Well, I guess I wouldn't send payment until I'd seen it. But that should be common sense.

I wish I could find a way to convince my folks to drive me to Detroit! This may be my only chance to ever get one for so cheap!

I could immagine it continuing to work as I have a Zenith porthole that works on almost all original parts.

I'm sure there are a few old TV fans in the Detroit area.

You know, when someone includes "Best Offer" in an ad, they technically have the right to take the best offer received. But a lot of folks assume it's the asking price or next best lower offer.

I was thinking that too, lol! Stuff like this seems too good to be true and it wouldn't be the first time people mess with the collectors like that. I'm gonna shit if this thing shows up here and a member got it for 50 bucks though!!

Damn, I have not been on in a while. I live 20 min from Royal Oak in rush hour. If I would have known I would have jumped at the sucker. I don’t need it or have room for it but I would have been glad to pick it up, check it out and part it out to the rest of you.

Part it out?!!!

Someting that rare, and desireable should be keped in one piece and restored unless it is dammaged beyond all hope of restoration.
