RCA roundie on Showtime series
Watching the Showtime dramatic series "Masters of Sex" that deals with Masters & Johnson sex studies in the 1960's. In this scene Dr. Masters is trying to get a decent image on his RCA CTC-16X color set while having a heated discussion w/his wife. The 2nd photo Dr. Masters is behind the set out of sight while the shot includes his wife's cigarette in the foreground. Not uncommon in the 60's. Seems to me the good doctor should have just adjusted the antenna.

That set is a fancy version of my first color television purchased new in August, 1966.
Notice the same control panel in my photo. http://www.visions4.net/journal/wp-c...ds/image57.jpg My set was a 19 inch Danish modern "Bremanger"

Thanks sampson159, I had a choice of the CTC-16X or CTC-20. I believe you're
correct it's a CTC-16X, The CTC-17X is a 25" rectangular. I'll edit my post. -Steve D.

Funny, I've seen this same set make a cameo or two in the last few seasons of Mad Men. The first time I saw it, I couldn't figure out if it was a Magnavox or RCA, I thought the cabinet looked too strange for Zenith. Now I know.
