Over The Edge program downloaded from KPFA 94.1 Berkeley. Man, this is some weird-ass stuff!! I stumbled across OTE the other night while we were at anchor in San Francisco (comes on after midnight) and instantly got hooked! If you're into weird programs, this one scores a pretty high weird-factor.

Anyone from the north east ever listen to Shepherd way back in the 60's - 70's...?

Just like most evenings, WUOT (University of TN 91.9 FM, NPR affiliate) out of Knoxville on my Zenith H845. It usually plays all night because I forget to turn it off before dozing off.
About once a week, I turn it over to AM and see what I can pick up at night. There is an oldies station out of St. Louis I like (the name escapes me), and I usually look for WOWO (Ft. Wayne), WCBS (NY), WSM (Nashville), WJR (Detroit), and WLW (Cincinnati). These days, it seems like I can only listen to distant AM stations for 10 or 15 minutes before fade-out. |

AM 960 out of Salisbury, MD does the all-comedy, a nice change of pace. I hope that format works out in the long run.

Right now, just the quiet traffic in the distance. I have no radios or TV sets turned on.
Yesterday or Friday were much more interesting. I just finished restoring a Hallicrafters SX-42 communications receiver and was listening to a baseball game on AM, pop songs on FM, international music and New Zealand's news on shortwave broadcasts, even a few hams on SSB on the 40 meter band. It is a nice radio.
