Panasonic NV-G50PX Dead Set

I've had this machine almost forever. After a rather long hiatus (ok >5 years) I plugged it in and alas it makes a short click, without any other signs of life.

I read that the switching power supplies on these have issues with caps drying out. Before I tear into it, has anyone seen this before and is there a simple fix? This machine is a very close cousin to the NV-G300.

Any help as always is appreciated.
