Need info on a flyback.

I have a late 50's GE set, model number is TM-12-21-Z. What is the code of the flyback it uses?

Below is a pic of the TV. It was made in Brazil by the local General Electric plant, but is identical to it's american counterpart. Only possible difference is that the brazilian version works on both 110v and 220v. I need the code, or model number of the flyback used in this TV. Also would be interested in knowing if the 2G25026 flyback can be used in this set.

Hi Capt,

Your picture didn't show up, probably because this site is having some Server problems at the moment. Can you post it somewhere else and post a link to it?

I can't find that model number in the Sam's index, are you certain that's correct? It may be different because it's not a U.S. set.

Seems that since I have already posted the picture in another thread, It won't open in a new post. Anyone who wants to look at the GE TV need to see my other post: NEED ADVICE ON HOW TO PACK TVs.

Eric, this is identical ( or almost identical ) to the GE set you are looking for.

I´ve been talking to a guy who has some vintage TVs and related itens, and he said that even if I can´t find an original flyback to this set of mine, it's possible, with the proper information, to adapt another flyback of other tube type TV. It´s possible to put an equivalent flyback, it's what he said. Any thougts anyone? Has anyone here done something like this, or at least knows the probabilities of an idea like this be functional?

I am in need of another one ( still in need of the GE also! ) - it's a Philco flyback stock number 32-8653-1. Used in the "TV-350" chassis, from the US model year of 1955.

I have a Philco TV-300 chassis I'm parting out but the number on the flyback is different: 32-8677-1. Neither this or your number shows up in the Thordarson book I have. It wouldn't surprise me if the two were interchangable but it would be good to know up front.

I contacted via e-mail a person who might be able to find the Philco flyback...does anyone have any idea of how much such a part might be worth?

A local place here has 150-200 flybacks. Problem is that they are ECG flybacks and he has no reference book. I looked on ebay for a reference book and had no luck. If you have an ECG number I will ask him.

I talked to a fellow collector. It turns out that I can use a different flyback, IF it cames from an equivalent TV set...it's a small adaptation that needs to be done. So, if anyone has a flyback used in a 1959/1960 21 inch black and white set with 110 degree crt, and a flyback for a 1954/1956 21 inch black and white TV, I will take it.
