roundie yoke help

can you guys that have a roundie handy check the resistance of the horz with a reg DMM. the horz (blue/red).

I have one yoke that reads 10.5 and the replacement reads 6.6, a big diff in resistance, yet they are both 12mh (horz) impedence.

I just am curious why such a big diff and what others have. The 10.5 is the orig, the 6.6 is the triad replacement.

the sams calls out for 10.5 resistance.

The replacement probably has thicker wire. DC resistance is a kinda pointless measurement, if the AC reactance is the same it should work fine.

The one from my CTC-9 reads 6.5, and it works perfectly.

CTC-5 (red and red/black) measures 6.8 ohms.

When I was looking up info for somebody else on a Philco roundie I noticed that the Thordarson/Merit replacements required that you make some change or another-I think a resistor had to be added or subtracted. Not sure why.
