roundie yoke help
can you guys that have a roundie handy check the resistance of the horz with a reg DMM. the horz (blue/red).
I have one yoke that reads 10.5 and the replacement reads 6.6, a big diff in resistance, yet they are both 12mh (horz) impedence. I just am curious why such a big diff and what others have. The 10.5 is the orig, the 6.6 is the triad replacement. the sams calls out for 10.5 resistance. |

The replacement probably has thicker wire. DC resistance is a kinda pointless measurement, if the AC reactance is the same it should work fine.

The one from my CTC-9 reads 6.5, and it works perfectly.

CTC-5 (red and red/black) measures 6.8 ohms.

When I was looking up info for somebody else on a Philco roundie I noticed that the Thordarson/Merit replacements required that you make some change or another-I think a resistor had to be added or subtracted. Not sure why.

yes its in the vert circuit, need to clip out a couple resistors in side the yoke cover.
