Miniman, if you do decide to get another tube, I would really recommend you pick it up yourself or ask around here if anyone can pony express it for you. It rides very nicely in the back seat with a blanket to cushion it and the seat belt holding it.

Agreed, but no one is willing to sell...

I predict everyone with a round tube in general, color or B&W, will become increasingly hoardish in the coming years. The CRT's days are numbered, and the supply of good jugs is drying up. Add to that the fact that the last (reputable) rebuilders are closing their doors forever, and you can see that the future looks bleak for this hobby as far as replacement parts are concerned.

I'll trade you a working dud (I say that because the tube is usable with a crappy pic) for one of those remote sets yall got in yer garage.........
You should be able to get it to Scotty in time, I ran out of money so it's no good to me now. I really wanted to get it rebuilt but oh well.
The one you have sure made for a cool signature, expensive but very cool nonetheless

Imagine the glass bulb of the tube is an elevator.
Imagine the shadow mask is you.
What happens if the elevator falls to the basement floor at a high velocity ?
Desktop computer builders are having the same problem with UPS when they ship a computer with a high end video card. It gets disgusting that additional money has to be spent on inflatable and foam filled custom packaging inside the computer because guys in brown shirts can't read "Handle with Care".

Mark,

I don't think Scotty is accepting work anymore, his deadline was last Friday.
