Another VK Crap Swap? Sign up here!

Just had the thought, it's been a while since we've done something fun like this

Basically, you fill a box with TV or electronics related stuff, and send on to someone else, and the other person does the same. Kinda like a "secret santa" only with TV goodies

We've done this before, and it's kinda fun. Here are the rules:

1. You must have a minimum of 50 posts in order to participate, and have been a member for at least two months.

2. The stuff that you send has to be reasonably usable by someone, and not total junk (sending a whole box full of computer telephone modem cards or a radio chassis that was sitting outside in the rain for a couple of years would qualify as not acceptable )

3. Everyone who agrees to participate MUST follow through. If you're in the Crap Swap, and you don't, your membership here is banned until you send your package. Just have to make it fair for everyone that's receiving, to send something too.

4. You must send a box of stuff at least the size of a USPS large Priority box filled with stuff. More and bigger is just fine too!

5. Realize that there will be some shipping expense to do this. You may live in VA and have to send stuff to CA, for example. I'll keep it to within the US, unless we get a few Canadian members in, in which case I'll shuffle you guys around up North to keep the shipping cost down.

Feel free to ask questions in this thread, or just say "I'm in!" if you want in!

If we get a total of 10 people in, I'll draw names at random and announce the dates by when things should ship by.

Who's in? Crap swaps are fun

I'm in if there's a Canadian chapter. What are the dimensions of a usps large priority box? I have an idea too .. Maybe if people each send to you a one paragraph summary of their interests, and you can send that to their respective crap sender we could have some better focused assortments... Something like zenith modules could be Christmas come early to one guy and useless to Another. Not a wish list though just a general paragraph, enough to get some ideas.

If the shipping deadline is at least November 24th or after, I'm in. (Epic Box-Smithing doesn't just happen, it takes time to craft a truly supreme package!)

For your references:

Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box is 12x12x5.5 inches. https://store.usps.com/store/browse/...-rate-shipping

I would also like to point out the (new-ish to me) Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Board Game Box, which is 23.7x11.75x3 inches. That length opens up a whole new arena of things you can ship flat rate!
