Dicky Howett's working EMI 203 IO camera
G'day all.
Several years ago British broadcast camera collector Dicky Howett kindly sent me a video demonstration he made back in 1995 of his fully restored 1963 EMI 203 4.5" image orthicon camera in operation. I've just uploaded it to my oldtvhistory YouTube channel with his approval and it can be viewed here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8bTVinD3Go In the clip you can see his other IO cameras such as the PYE MK3, the Marconi MK3 and the Marconi MK8 colour camera. He also makes adjustments on the CCU which the effects of them can be seen on camera. This camera gives very nice crisp IO images complete with highlight haloing, very nice!!! Also on video was a segment from the UK collector program "Collectors Lot" on Dicky's camera collection which I also uploaded to YouTube as well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=juBKtQX7zkM Dicky's collection can be seen on the Golden Age TV Recreations site: http://www.golden-agetv.co.uk His EMI 203 can be seen here: http://www.golden-agetv.co.uk/equipm...p?ProducerID=2 http://www.golden-agetv.co.uk/img/equipment/36b.JPG
