I know that any restoration that I do on any set will never return my investment. For that matter, I, unlike most, will often buy a set because it is complete and cosmetically acceptable. Usually the condition CRT is low on my list of "Reject" items. Just the way I do it. And of course, these little VT-71 sets are just average in performance but cute. My attraction is because I remember that Dad had one in the basement for years. I don't remember what happened to it and I don't remember ever seeing it work. I did find the Sams Photofact with his voltage measurements written on it. So, they have some meaning to me. And then I become obsessed and buy more than one copy of them. Don't know why other than to swap parts and get a really nice one. But again, not cost effective; just what I do...
