What is this component in a RCA tv?
Found an odd component that I need to know what it is. No matter what the component will not read with a multimeter so I am guessing it is one of those ceramic low ohm resistors that serve as a fuse. It seems that this part is blocking current from making its way to the ground.
Any info would be great on this. I would really like to get this tv going. |

Ah thank you! It does look like something a spark would shoot across. Back to searching for bad parts again.
Thanks again! |

Yup spark gap for the focus pin. The other pins all have small ones too.
If the focus goes too high it will jump to ground. Also if you get neck arks they get grounded to prevent damage hopefully.... |
