I had one of those for my bedroom TV for many years. Then I loaned it to a sick friend and her damn cat knocked it off the dresser and destroyed it.

I have that exact set. When I saw the title of this thread, I instantly knew exactly which set it was.

Amazing how many similar sets you can pick up-Even now-if you aren't careful on how many you accumulate. But, I feel that I'm like most of the rest of you-Can't say "No" to a set that-works & is eye-catching.

There's no such thing as a "Damned Cat". They're a lot smarter than most people's dogs!

Those are great sets, model CT-1119 if I remember right. When I saw one when they were new, it was the first (and only) CRT that I thought looked as good as a Sony Trinitron. I finally got one too, a couple of years ago. Enjoy it!

This one wasn't. It was mule headed and stupid.

I knew I had a set similar to it! Mine is a CTG 1000, built May 1985.
It works well! I got it from Mark, Zenithfan when I bought a GE PortaColor from him.
