Yes,
Temperature controlled storage. The storage barn was built 10 years ago, Not sure how it was stored before that. The chassis only has a few spots of mild surface corrosion and is extremely clean underneath. A well kept set over the years for sure.

I for one am very jealous of your find. I mostly see RCA sets on the used market and rarely every anything else by another brand.

That is in fine condition and needs to be properly restored. THat crt is a good start. I would get some of that vaccu-seal gel sealant type stuff (forgot what the ETF guys recommend on the 15GP22) and go around the place where the metal and glass join so there's not a chance it will go to air.

I wish I had the time, resources and patience to properly restore this TV but I don't. I've decided to sell it, Hopefully to a member here who will lovingly restore this very clean untouched original. I'm taking offers if there is any interest or it's off to ebay. Pick Up is preferred or YOU arrange all shipping.

I just might have some factory service literature for this; I'd have to look. Any fifties color set is rare, but a non-RCA is a fantastic find.

VERY VERY rare. I had never seen one, and I've had/seen a lot of mid 50s color sets including the 22" Westinghouse, the Philco, and the 19" CBS sets... I'd be very interested, but the shipping is too dangerous, and the drive would be a week and $1000 in fuel & motel bills... I'm sure someone Back East will be very happy to get that, and you will get a handsome price for it!!!

Blonde

Jim,
Here is the Blonde version of that set Steve D mentioned. Unfortunately, it is a faux finish on a masonite like substrate, and a lot of mine has flaked off. Not sure how I will recover. That is a GREAT 2nd generation color TV (maybe 3rd?). Anyway you slice it, it is a rare beastie.
