Pretty sure that deposit violates e-bay's TOS... seems awfully similar to the trick of listing for $1 and recouping with exorbitant shipping charges to save the listing fees... Might be possible to take advantage of that and get a cheap hoffman

Auburn isn't exactly in my driving range but I put it on my watch list with the idea that if it's cheap enough it might justify the drive. It really is a clean looking set. Hope he doesn't burn it up by watching it before the new owner comes. As far as the deposit goes I think the seller thinks it's going to go for several hundred dollars. He will really be surprised when the high offer is around 20 bucks. Can you imagine the reaction.

I just came across this previous listing. I guess nobody wanted it at 80
