This set reminds me of the TMK set in the other thread.Rat Shack used to be great when they printed the schematics in back of the instructions.

Not only did they provide the schematics, but service manuals. You had to pay for the manuals, but they were very complete.

How good was the image quality on the smaller color portavisions, compared to a casio color LCD or a sony watchman like the FDL-22?

It looks like a TMK, A.K.A. Toyomenka build. They were a surprisingly
good sets & ran a good parts dept. Sams dont list the RS set, SO.......
You got to ID the set. Look on the model tag for a FCC ID or type acceptance
number. Then go to FCC.gov & search the number there. If its listed
it will give the OEM brand & model. From there you can search for the
manuals. Also you may post problem it has & maybe get a simple answer without a manual.

BTW this works for other electronics with those numbers. Monitors, radios,
metal detectors .............

Unfortunately it doesn't have an FCC ID anywhere.
Oh and some bum eBay seller had the manual attached to one of these they were selling but weren't willing to sell the manual on it's own, and I don't really need a whole new one of them
