new seville 21
Hi all, picked up a nice ctc-4 the other day, i plugged into an isolation transformer brought it up, has raster, i didnt leave it on long because i want to start by at least changing the caps in the power supply, i was wondering if anyone has input on a supplier, and the merits of the various manufacturers, thanks, Bruce

Congratulations! I really like my Seville, and wish you the best with yours. Good idea about the caps, and if you don't want to re-stuff the cans, there's plenty of room under the chassis to install axials.
BTW the avatar is a screen shot from the 4. Kevin

Your welcome, and thanks.
Slow is good. I spent 6 months of evening and weekend work to restore mine. Got a raster the first time I powered up, then tweaking for a while. Still needs a complete chroma alignment, as the blues sometimes seem to go slightly green, but the luminance is perfect, very sharp pics. Next up will be the CTC-5N blonde Whitby that's been waiting too long for attention. Soon, I hope LOL. Kevin
