Ed Reitan's Color TV History

Anybody know what happened to Ed Reitan's Color Television History web site?

Here's the link I have: http://novia.net/~ereitan/

I frequently refer to it to ID the early RCA color sets.

I could not find the home page. But I Googled the Gallery and it is still there.

I haven't spoken with Ed in awhile, so I hope he's OK. There are other members who are in closer touch with him, so hopefully they'll post up. Ed hasn't posted here on AK/VK in years, if I'm correct. He is a member here under a username.

Ed called me last Sunday to chat. He is doing well and did not mention anything unusual about his site. I just went to his site and it seems complete and all sections are accessible.

Ed Reitan's Color Television History Site Is Again Up

Sorry for the time the site was down. John Pinckney emailed me with the heads up that it was having problems.

The host for the site had some software cnfiguration troubles but they resolved it in short order.

The site can also be accessed at:

www.edreitan.com
www.colortelevision.info
www.novia.net/~reitan (this now redirects to edreitan.com)

Yes, I do promise to put up some new content.

And if anyone has later CTC-11, CTC-12, (and so on) receiver catalogs I will post later chassis RCA models. Just email me at ereitan@novia.net

Someone out there must have CTC-11, CTC-12 or other later CTC-xx Sales Brochures.

I am standing by to post them with the earlier model summaries on the site at
www.edreitan.com. Many have said they use my site to identify their color
receiver models.

So let me know what brochures you have and I will get them scanned and posted.

Thanks, Ed Reitan. ereitan@novia.net

I think there's a pictorial reference in the front of the RCA Field Service Manual. If I recall, it shows at least a line drawing of the cabinet. At least such as those, would allow for a quick model ID lookup on the site until actual brochures turn up. I think I have CTC-2 through at least CTC-81 in Field Service. At some point, they stopped putting the line drawings in favor of text-only model number-to-chassis suffix indexes, unfortunately.
