1979 Peter Sellers in Being There
Today I watched a movie called being there with Peter Sellers, Melvyn Douglas, and Shirley Maclaine. Premise of the movie is about a man that has never been to school, never ridden in a car, and never been out of the home where he is a gardner. Everything he knows is from what he has learned from television. Most that meet him thinks he is a brilliant person. So it's enough to say to tv enthusiasts this is a great movie to see the vintage Zenith, RCA, and Sony tv's in the movie. It has television as a very important part of the story. I think the Console in his bedroom at the beginning is a Zenith Chromacolor II 25 inch remote. Theres a Zenith Avanti in there somewhere. There's a Sony KV-8000 in the limousine and a neat RCA curved console that I think is an XL100 or Colortrak. There is another Sony remote set in his room. It's cool seeing these vintage sets in a movie. Anyway it's a film comedy worth passing along. I don't have Netflix, but our local library had it on DVD.
P.S. Three days of the Condor with Robert Redford has a Sony KV-1920 in it.

Yup, it's a great movie. I have it on VHS, time to re-watch it again. :-)
