Cinderella in color 1957

I found some photos of the color broadcast of Cinderella in 1957, too bad they didn't have color video

Color Kinescopes (Film shot off of color monitors) was the closest thing to Color VTR equipment, remember, the 2" Ampex VR 1000 monochrome VTR was new in 1957, and for most facilities still barely entering broadcasting service.

A few more. What's funny is how pastel the sets and costumes are, almost monochromatic. Very different from the prevailing aesthetic at NBC for late 1950s color shows.

I agree that the sets & costumes favor pastels. But these are some what faded Life Magazine photos. The colors were, I'm sure, far more vivid in the original color telecast. More like the enhanced photos below.
