I might toss a bid in on it if the seller knows how to pack CRTs properly. My packard bell is in need of a CRT.

maybe he has the box from VDC it came back in

wonder if he's an AK'er...

A used, rebuilt tube, sounds like. What's it cost now to have one rebuilt, $250 or more, plus shipping? Of course, with it you get a guarantee, I'd assume. At least this ebay tube should have low hours...I can't imagine it being used that much over the last decade or so.

Oh man! That is an absolutely perfect set

what brand is that?

you...uh...wouldn't want to...sell that..anytime?

in all seriousness, I would love a set like that. Tabletops take up so much less room than consoles. Does it work, or is it just for decoration?

1964 New Old Stock Packard Bell, yes. Works great but it's only been on about 1 hour in 43 years. Made in Los Angeles... Neat set, eh?

Very cool.

packard bell had some really neat styling. I have a 64 PB round screen console that Eric H spotted and picked up for me (thanks again Eric). Its one of the more unique looking sets I have.

A very nice set! Can you show a photo with this set in operating mode and some photos from the inside (chassis, crt)?

Don't have any snaps of the inside, sorry. However, I will say that it is eerie to look inside and see a totally NEW chassis. All the tubes are still brand new! Don't get many chances like that anymore!

I'll see what I can do one of these days..

Here's another one, still in it's original box: http://cgi.ebay.com/21FJP22A-CRT-In-...QQcmdZViewItem

The guy even shows a picture of it hooked to his crt tester, only shows it testing the green gun though.
