Painting( refinishing)

On my recently acquired ctc4 Seville it necessary to repaint the outer
Edge of the plastic picture tube mount and frame. The tar sealing the
Glass to the front discolored the plastic. Any suggestions?

Is it possible to polish away (or even gently sand away) the discoloration?

If not, then I guess miniman82 has it right. I'm not good at naming colors, but I guess I'd call my mask a light or medium gray.

Pix frame paint

Good thought on the sanding. You are correct on the color all the way
Through. I used wd40 to rid the tar and it worked well. Nick, the primer
Would be great if I resprayed the entire mask. The thing is really a ugly green.
, I need to think about it.
