LG 43LJ55 Smart TV LED Damaged Screen

Hi All,
Just wondering...old 1980s TV repair man here. First TV of this type for me. Contractor friend had job to install half dozen of these LG models 43LJ55 LED TVs. One got the screen damaged and retailer would not accept return. Got just a bunch of color lines throughout when on & dark impact spots on screen when off. Since brand new; fixable??? Screen replaceable/available? Cost effective? Anyone's 2 cents appreciated.

If it's new hang on to it a couple years, parts set may start showing up by then. Of course many parts sets are parts sets because the screen is broken but you might get one with a bad board.

The TV is only worth $250 new. The panel is only available direct from LG, as far as I can see, and is likely the same price landed. Strip it for parts and throw it away.
