FM is backwards
The patient is a 1963 RCA 3RC76 table model AM/FM picked from the BIN table at Kutztown. 7 tubes. Powered up and in need of work but it did get some FM stations. AM was buzz. The curious thing is that the FM stations did not line up with the dial. It was all backwards. I found my 90.9 NPR station around 104 on the dial. High music stations were down low. All the stations were backwards on the dial. High was low and low was high. AM unknown. How can this happen other than RCA making a huge dial misprint? Can a component issue do this?

More likely someone has restrung the dial wrong.
